COVERTEX / L-SEALER The manually operated Covertex / L-Sealer will process approximately 180 parcels per hour, and the air operated Covertex / L-Sealer approximately 300 per hour. The L-Sealer/ Covertex laundry bagging machine is a versatile machine enabling operators to pack and seal various sizes of parcels with minimum operator skill. Low voltage impulse sealing (1 second at 40v) is easily adjustable to accommodate the use of various gauges of centre fold polythene film. Click on an image to enlarge Recommended Polythene size: 27"/54" or 30"/60" centre fold polythene Recommended Polythene gauge: 100 gauge (25 microns) The Covertex / L-Sealer machine has an impulse sealing system - the heating bars are only activated when the machine jaws close, the sealing wires will not stay hot. When sealing head is pull down, the sealing cycle is triggered by a micro switch under the side sealing bar at the front of the packaging machine. The sealing cycle will begin just as the upper and lower sealing bars touch together, this setting ensure safe operation of the machine. Machine Operation The centre fold polythene is loaded onto a shaft and positioned onto the rear of the machine with the folded edge towards the back. Polythene is then feed over a set of feed bar rollers and split either side of the white loading tray. Parcels will then be loaded into the polythene on the white loading tray and slide over to the sealing area. The sealing head can then be pulled down until the bars are compressed. Sealing cycle will commence when warning lights come on. When the sealing cycle is complete and the warning lights go out you then return the sealing head to rest position.
